3For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.这人就是先知以赛亚所说的。他说：“在旷野有人声喊着说：‘预备主的道，修直他的路！’”

4John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.照这话，约翰来了，在旷野施洗，传悔改的洗礼，使罪得赦。

9And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.那时，耶稣从加利利的拿撒勒来，在约旦河里受了约翰的洗。

13Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.当下，耶稣从加利利来到约旦河，见了约翰，要受他的洗。

10And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:他从水里一上来，就看见天裂开了，圣灵仿佛鸽子，降在他身上。

16And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:耶稣受了洗，随即从水里上来。天忽然为他开了，他就看见　神的灵仿佛鸽子降下，落在他身上。

36And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.众人都惊讶，彼此对问说：“这是什么道理呢？因为他用权柄能力吩咐污鬼，污鬼就出来。”
